Baby J is sick :(

My poor little baby is sick. He's only been sick once before and it's already my least favorite part of being a mom. I don't like seeing him so miserable. And I feel so helpless sometimes when all he can do is cry to show me he's not feeling well. He's been sick for 2 days now and if he doesn't improve by tomorrow, I'm taking him to his doctor. I'm really not sure if they can do anything but it's always nice to get a peace of mind.

Earlier today he had a fever and wasn't feeling so well so I had to give him acetaminophen and it was just so cute to watch his little face scrunch up at the taste. I was already cuddling with him and realized I had my camera right next to me. I decided to record him a few minutes later. You can just see it in his eyes that he was not feeling well. And at this point he was just tasting what was inside his cheeks. Luckily the taste didn't linger too much longer after his medicine kicked in and he was smiling again after a few minutes. I hope he gets better soon. Both mommy and baby need some sleep ♥

Japan

Hello family, friends, and everyone else :)
For those who don't know, I'm currently living in Okinawa, Japan. Today the country of Japan suffered a great earthquake of a magnitude 8.8-8.9 as many of you are aware and 7th largest ever recorded for those who didn't know. It happened in the region of Honshu, Japan which is Northeastern Japan (we are in the Southeast). We were not hit directly here on Okinawa but we have all been affected by this. Most of the Pacific is currently under tsunami warning including Japan, Guam, Russia, Taiwan, Hawaii, US, Canada and of course many other countries and islands. Also Japan is under a nuclear emergency which is a little scary. I'll update as much as I can from what I hear. There is no recorded death toll at this moment because the numbers keep rising, but last I read it was about 60 with many more still missing. :(
I have recorded some video of a Japanese news station's live footage of the earthquake and tsunami. It is so scary to see this and mind you this mild footage.
Please keep everyone over here in your prayers. ♥

Weekend at the beach..

I am soo bad at keeping up with my blog.. but anyways this last weekend was pretty fun. We spent all weekend at the beach and it was sooo gorgeous!! I love the beaches here.. We went to Okuma Beach first and there was a festival that day and then we went to Maeda Point where there's much more coral and rocks and cliffs.. I'm hoping that I can get over my fear of fish and be able to go snorkeling and scuba diving :) I just have to take baby steps.. I know I can do it!

Walking to find a good snorkeling place..
The cliffs and rocks..
